Audio Rendering Board
High performance audio acquisition, processing and rendering of industry standard digital and analogue interfaces.
- Galvanic Isolation from USB Engine Module (Power, Data and Control). USB interface "adapts" to support PCM and DSD formats.
- Network Module support (Airplay and DLNA). Can be Galvanically Isolated.
- Bluetooth Module support. Can be Galvanically Isolated.
- Can support up to 8 AES/EBU, SPDIF and TOSLINK inputs to 192kHz/24 bits (board has 1 off SPDIF and 1 off TOSLINK inputs)
- Analogue Audio inputs: Balanced and Single-ended (RCA). True balanced design - Single-ended audio converted to balanced audio.
- All Digital Audio inputs routed to Spartan 6 FPGA. Spartan 6 ensures optimal time-domain performance prior to digital to analogue conversion. Functionality can be adapted to customers' requirements. Spartan 6 configured from system microcontroller at system start-up allowing code changes over life of product.
- Audio master clocks located for lowest jitter
- Asynchronous Sample Rate Conversion support (optional)
- DAC supports PCM to 384kHz and DSD. Audio is output in Quad Differential Current Mode.
- High quality I/V conversion, low pass filters and Volume Control (in analogue domain) are implemented
- Analogue Audio Outputs:
- Balanced and Single-ended (RCA), Headphone Outputs: Balanced (2 off 3 pin XLR and 1 off 4 pin XLR)
- ¼" and 3.5mm. Balanced Outputs feature a discrete output stage with DC detection for highest performance.
- System Microcontroller to control system:
- User Interface - infra-red, buttons, volume encoder, OLED, power
- Software updates - all system software can be updated via a USB port or Network Module
- Power Supply Control - provision for ON, OFF, and Low Power Standby
- Local Power Supplies:
- Multiple regulators for all analogue and digital sub-systems
- 6 layer PCB - low noise design
